Lien’s early years in Canada (1984 – 1985)

1984 : Lien Chao came to Canada to pursue her graduate studies with the scholarship from Ontario Women Teachers’ Association.

1985: Lien Chao met Prof. Northrop Frye at Victoria College. With her on the back left, Mr. Bruce Mickleburgh, who taught Lien Chao in China, The Educated Imagination by Northrop Frye. Prof. Frey’s assistant, and Mrs Mickleburgh..
